Ken Anderson was born in Borger, Texas, in 1938. After an earlier career as an assistant professor of ancient, medieval, and Byzantine history at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, Ken entered the University of Idaho College of Law in 1975. He graduated in 1978 and has been in private practice since that time with offices in Lewiston and Grangeville, Idaho. He employs two paralegals and one secretary. Bankruptcy has always been a major part of his practice and since January of 1990 he has restricted his practice to bankruptcy. He is a past chairman of the Board of Governors of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar, is a member of the Local Rules Committee of the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Idaho,
and chairs that committee's Chapter 13 Subcommittee. He is married to Janet Anderson, an elementary school teacher in Grangeville. They have two daughters, three granddaughters, and a grandson.
When not engaged in professional duties, Ken enjoys family activities, trailer camping, amateur radio, and storm chasing. He is a Skywarn member, providing spotting and early warning of severe weather for the National Weather Service offices in Spokane, Washington (for the Lewiston-Clarkson area), in Missoula, Montana (for the Grangeville area), and Amarillo during his annual trip to the Texas Panhandle. Ken is also a life-long amateur photographer who is known to do freelance photography for hire (weddings, senior photos, special events, etc.) as time is available. Several of his Idaho landscapes have been published on the front cover of The Advocate, the monthly journal of the Idaho State Bar.
